DESCRIPTION:Scraps of Love – A Workshop in conjunction with the Melrose Area Festival of the Arts\nIf you would like to see a beautiful quilt display and at the same time\, make a difference for a worthwhile organization\, save the date! \n\nKaren Martinson\, founder of Scraps of Love\, will share her story how it all began and guide you through the process of making quilts for this organization. These quilts are crafted from fabric scraps and gifted to patients receiving infusion treatments in Melrose\, Sauk Centre\, and Alexandria. \nThis workshop will be an opportunity to create many blocks\, which will later be made into quilts. There will be various ways to assist\, including sewing\, pressing\, cutting\, and sorting fabric – many hands will be needed to accomplish much. All are welcome\, so bring a friend and enjoy a wonderful time!

DESCRIPTION:The Melrose Area Festival of the Arts will be featuring art displays at the Melrose City Center and the Freeport State Bank. The Melrose Public Library will host a book display and author readings. A variety of art will be available for purchase by individual artists. The Melrose Senior Center will once again be hosting a quilt display and demos.  A variety of workshops will also be offered\, from crocheting and cake decorating to painting.
