FROM PAST TO PRESENT
HISTORICAL JOURNEY OF MELROSE
MAAC has selected an Artist!
The Melrose Area Arts Council has selected an Artist to capture the past and present spirit of Melrose in a Mural Art Installation. The proposed mural will be installed on the side of the Midwest Automatic Products building across the street from the Sauk River Park entrance.
Our Process
The chosen artist, Justine Meyer, will create the artwork for this mural at a smaller scale, which will then be professionally photographed and scaled up to printed size. Test prints will be made first to ensure the highest quality.
MAAC will be working with Travis Frieler from Sign Lava to create a printed version of the artwork. The artwork will cover an area of 30×10 feet, consisting of six 5×10-foot panels, which will be installed on the Midwest Automatic Products building.

May 8-9: Artist Meet and Greet/Display of Artwork at Festival of the Arts
June: Follow Up Meeting with Project Leaders/Complete Artwork
July: Finalize Artwork
August: Photographing of Artwork/Enlargement/Test Printing/Power washing of Midwest Automatic Products building/Installation of framework/Printing of Artwork/Installation of Artwork on Midwest Automatics Products Building
August 26: Unveiling of Mural Art
